Cowboy Hat Lady at Khao Kha Moo

Tonight we had dinner with the famous Cowboy Hat Lady at Khao Kha Moo. Located near the Chang Phueak Gate, this street food restaurant is a must visit while in Chiang Mai. Already famous for her food alone, the Cowboy Hat Lady was visited by the Anthony Bourdain and Andy Ricker last year on his show Parts Unknown. Her specialty is quite simple, stewed pork leg, rice and a boiled egg – but wow is it out of this world good! When you get to your table you will find condiments of fresh pickled mustard greens, garlic, hot Thai chilies and spicy vinegar sauce. The cost per plate is only 50 baht or $1.50!!!
